Last game of the "season"

If you even want to call it a season. It was about 5 weeks of Tball. But 5 hilarious and memorable weeks. Cash was the youngest one on the team. Actually, he was one of the youngest ones in the league. But he learned a ton. That is one of the reasons we signed him up so young. We wanted him to learn that you don't always get to hit the ball. And you have to listen and obey your coach. And you have to show up to practice if you want to get your medal at the end.

He grew and really had a better understanding by the end of the season.

Proud of my little guy...

I mean, it's the YMCA. Everyone gets a medal...but Cash got it because his team "winned"...

One proud mama...

Cash turns 3...

My son is 3. He has been on this Earth for 3 years. He has been in my life for 3 years. 3 wonderful and magical years. We have learned endless lessons from each other. We have loved each other. We have gotten on each others nerves. We have cried together. We have laughed together. We have just been together. For 3 years
I love this boy. I love every single thing about him. Good and bad. It's funny...I sometimes have to choose to love Noah. And I don't feel bad about saying that. Sometimes we argue and the last thing I want to do is show love to him. But I choose to. But I don't have to do that with my children. At least not yet. I love them no matter what they do or don't do. No matter how the act or disobey. I love them and it is the truest form of unconditional love.

For his actual birthday, Noah and I filled Cash's room with balloons while he slept. He woke up and was shocked. Legitimate shock. It was worth every breath it took to blow up those balloons. We bought him 3 doughnuts, because that is what he asked for. Sang him happy birthday. And introduced him to strawberry milk.
The life of a 3 year old...

Happy Birthday, sweet boy...

Cash's first date...

There are not that many girls that I will let Cash take on a date. Very few to be totally honest.

But Ellie is not one of them. She is like a second daughter. We love her and Cash loves her. We love her family and consider ourselves blessed to know them and their sweet girls.

Of course, the first date was chaperoned by the 2 moms...

Whenever you go on a date, you bring the girl a rose. Raising him right...

Love birds...

Enjoying their first movie together...

Dear Presley...

You have added a special something to our family. Nothing that I can specifically name. But there is just something. You are happy. You are easy going. You are loving. You are funny. You are the type of baby that doesn't have to make a noise, but you know you are in the room. You have a presence about you. I know that I am your mom and I am bias... and I am. But I am not the only one who sees this. I have had quite a few people tell me that you just have this "something" about you.

You are also turning into a big baby girl now, instead of my little baby girl. I went through your newborn clothes last weekend to make some room for bigger clothes and I almost lost it. Your little newborn pants. Your newborn socks. Your newborn pajamas. It was so terribly bittersweet. I don't want you to grow up. I don't want you to get bigger.

But you are. And I can't stop it. I love the little girl you are becoming. You smile at me 99% of the time I look at you. Oh who am I kidding, you smile 99% of the time anyone looks at you. But your smile at me is extra special.

I love you sweet girl. I love your magical eyes. Your gummy grin. Your cute as a button nose. Your care free attitude (for now).

I just love you...

A little bonding time...

These two really get along great... Right now. There is no fighting. No yelling. No tattling. It is peaceful and loving.

Presley, you think your brother is hilarious.

Cash, you think your sister hung the moon.

I know it won't always be like this. So let's just soak it all up while we can...

Big day for Presley Mae...

P got her ears pierced yesterday. Took it like a champ. Screamed like a raptor for a few seconds, then drank her bottle and forgot all about it.

Happy 4th from our family...

We swam. We ate. We swam some more. We ate some more. Some of us even tried our first ice cream cone (not mentioning any names...). We watched amazing fireworks lying on the ground on a blanket in 70 degree weather...

Perfect is the only word that comes to mind. Just perfect...

Cash and daddy...

Cash,

You have really started to hang with daddy more. You love to swim with him. Fight and wrestle with him. "Drive" with him. Lie down with him.

And it makes me happy. It makes me happy because I selfishly know you still want me. You still need me. When you are tired or hurt or ready for bed, you want mommy. And I love that. I will always love that.

But I also love that you are growing closer to your dad. That you are wanting to go things with him. Wanting to spend time with him. Wanting to be like him.

He's a good man to be like...

Zoo day...

What's better than going to the zoo with your best friend??

Nothing if you ask these boys.

We took Cash and his best friend, Bryce, to the zoo for some quality and friendly bonding time.

And fun was most certainly had...

Wonderful weather...

We have had some unexpected, but wonderfully welcomed weather for the month of July. So we have been soaking it up all we can y bring outside.

And bonding with Birdie girl, of course...

Bath time...

We can only do this for do long... For obvious reasons! Enjoy it while it lasts...
