Breakfast for dinner...

Sometimes you just have to do it. Cave in and fix it. Breakfast for dinner is my favorite! I ask for it for every birthday dinner and every special occasion.

On this night, my special boys made my week. Pancakes for dinner...

Nothing better. Even if Cash sneezed directly in the pancake batter and continued to stir...

They tasted good to me!

My daughter...

I'm sitting in the dr's office waiting to go back for Presley's 6 month check up. What?!?

6 months. Half a year. 24 weeks. You have got to be kidding me. I thought it flew by with just one bambino... But with 2, it's seems like the days are flying by at light speed.

My baby girl is getting bigger. Saying jibber jabber words. Sitting by herself. Holding her own bottle. Getting up in the crawling position. And continuing to steal our hearts. All of us.

This little girl is Cash's pride and joy. He calls her his sweetheart. His sissy. His baby girl.

And she really is...

She's everyone's pride and joy...

Happy Father's Day...

What a wonderful father you two have. He's funny. Even though you may not think so when you are teenagers, he's a funny guy.
He's affectionate. And that will not change. No matter what your age, he will always expect a hug and kiss. No questions.
He's embarrassing. Sometimes. But you just learn to live with it and appreciate it as an endearing quality he possesses.
He's intense. A good and bad thing. He will intensely love you and fight for you. But he will also use that intensity if you do something wrong or disappointing.

He's your daddy. He's our family leader. He's our love.

Funny things Cash says...

Comes walking into the kitchen with his pants down...

Me: Cash, what are you doing with your pants down?

Cash: Mommy, my wee wee is just going up?.?

(You're welcome for this one when you are older, Cash.)

First swim...

Little P's first swim was a success. She kicked and splashed and styled. Go girl!

Things Cash says...

"I'm in love with you. You're in love with me. You're my sweetheart!"

He really likes that song...and apparently me too.

There is just something about a sleeping baby...

When Cash was little I used to watch him sleep all the time. I didn't care if it was creepy. Or borderline helicopter mom. The truth is, I wasn't watching him because I was afraid something was going to happen to him. Or because I thought he needed me. I watched him because I wanted to. Because I was in awe of what we created. What had grown before our eyes and transformed from a tiny (well, really fat) baby to a little toddler.

It amazed me. And still does. And I still watch my little boy sleep. And may for a while to come...

My little baby girl...

Not long ago, you were my littlest baby girl. I held you like my baby girl. I fed you like my baby girl. I loved you like my baby girl. Isn't it strange how we can sometimes wish away certain areas of babyhood? Without even knowing it, we do. "I just can't wait until Presley can..."

Well now, my dear one, you are just my littlest girl. You are smiling when you want. Sitting up when you want. Rolling over when you want. Eating any baby food you can get your hands on.

You are still tiny. Still my baby. But you are acting less and less like a baby everyday. And I'm afraid I wished this too soon.

Before you were born, my heart felt happy. Now that you are here. With us. A part of us. My heart feels complete. Completely and happily complete.

And that is a great feeling for a mommy...
