Daddy/ Daughter sushi date...

Hopefully this is the first of many daddy/daughter dates to come. Noah has already said that he will check her out of school for lunch one day every week until she graduates from high school. If he holds to his word, that would be a pretty great opportunity for him to have some quality time with his baby girl.

And for him to catch up on all of the gossip at school...

Not that this sweet and innocent little girl will get into any trouble or be involved in the gossip of high school...

It's finally up...

My birthday present is finally up and ready to use. And if I am right, which I always am, we will get quite a bit of use out of this thing.

I foresee many games of H-O-R-S-E. I foresee many games of 1 on 1. I foresee many games of 5 on 5 with friends.

I simply can not wait to get some use out of this thing...

Church going folks...

As a mother, I am not sure anything makes me more proud than when we wake up on Sunday mornings. The kids wake up and eat breakfast. They watch some Disney and snuggle up on the couch with their blankets and pillows. They mosey around from room to room and then they get the news...

Today is church day.

I'm sorry, but did you just say that Frozen and Tangled would be playing right after each other on TV today... all day? Or did you say that Iron Man, himself, was coming to our house to visit? No no, sweet children. It's church day.

But the excitement that they show is something that makes me smile every single Sunday. Even when Presley is wandering around the house refusing to get dressed. And even when Cash is throwing a fit because he doesn't want to "fix his hair with water". Amidst all of the chaos and whining on a Sunday morning, nothing beats the pure heartfelt joy of knowing that your children are excited to go to church.

Their love for Jesus and fellowship at church is something that I hope and pray continues as they get older.

First football game of 2014...

The Allen family was more than ready for football season to start.

I mean, it is the greatest time if the year...

At least it is in Oklahoma.

Like mother like daughter...

Why not wear our big hats together?

After all, every day is a good day to wear an oversized hat...
