Her shirt says it all...

She is most certainly "wonderfully made"...

What is she thinking...

I bet P is saying, "I really like my brother and all... But can you tell him to get off me?"

My response to her question would be... "Nope. He can hug you whenever he wants. Deal with it."

Never turn down a hug from your brother... Just a word of advice

My kiddos...

My hearts that beat outside my chest. My joys. My loves. My kids. My life.

May 20, 2013...

That is a day that will go down in history. Not the type of history you dream about being a part of... But history. A tornado, or scary cloud as Cash calls it, cane through our peaceful town and did its worst. It destroyed houses and buildings and cars and belongings. It even destroyed lives.

But what I will remember most about that day and the days that followed was the aftermath. The wonderful and pride-soaring aftermath that is Oklahoma. This isn't our first tragedy. And it is sure to not be our last. But as a community and state we get up. We clean up. We pick up. And we stand up. For each other. Because we don't know any different. That is just what we do. And I am proud to raise my kids in this state. Where they will learn that when people get knocked down, you help them up. You don't ask questions. You don't blame someone else. You only ask, "How can I help?". And if raising my kids here means that they have to tolerate a few storms and " scary clouds", then so be it. They will be better people because of it.

We had very minimal damage to our home, but here are the only pictures I took over the last week...

We stayed at my parents house and, as you can see, everyone got good rest that night...

My precious Little P...

No words needed...

Summer time...

The weather is getting warmer. The sun is shining more. Do you know what that means...

Snow cones!!!

Mother's Day (post 2)...

What did we do for Mother's Day, you ask?

We went to church.

We dedicated our sweet girl at church.

Ate lunch.

Cleaned (a mothers work never stops).

Went to my parents for pizza and golf.

Had some cookies for dessert (even Little P tried to snatch some cookies up).

Read our Bible in bed together with my sweet boy, who kept telling me, " Happy Mudders Day "( melt me).

And smiled. All "Mudders Day" because the luckiest mom alive.

My Mother's Day with 2 kiddos...

Not too much different from a Mother's Day with just one kiddo... except more lovin' to go around.More kisses. More hugs. More snuggles with both arms full. More happiness. And more reason to celebrate being a mommy to 2 special angels...

I also got the chance to spend Mother's Day with 2 other women. Special women. My mama and my mother-in-law.

Funny things Cash says...

Last night laying on the couch...

Me: Cash, do you want to feel my heart?

Cash: Sure. (Puts his hand on my heart)

Me: Cash? Do you want to hear my heart?

Cash: Sure. (Puts his ear to my heart)

Me: What do you hear?

Cash: Jesus!

Me: Really? What does that sound like?

Cash: Mommy... Jesus is snoring.

Being Jesus is hard work.

The start of something wonderful...

They really are becoming best friends...

A little something we are working on...

We are in the process of building a house. And it is most certainly a process. Some parts move quickly. Others... Not so much.

I decided to take Cash to see is "new" house and show him around.

He's really excited about the backyard and all of the trees he gets to climb. His words. Not mine. But I'm happy to see he is being a typical boy...
